In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Eskaton’s Founder, Demek Adams experienced what he refers to as “COVID Clarity.” People across the globe faced challenges navigating work and life during a confusing and fearful time. It was clear that there was a values gap that existed across the professional services industry. Eskaton was the beginning of a large vision to create a dynamic and extraordinary professional services firm that could achieve a true people-oriented culture. Now four years in the making, the vision of Eskaton is being realized.
Demek Adams prides himself on being a transformative and trusted leader with proven results in delivering value for his clients, for people and for the firm. Over the last twenty years as a professional services consultant, Adams has been a pivotal partner for large state and federal entities delivering purpose-driven results and outcomes for clients and his employees. He is also passionate about creating opportunities that help his teammates achieve their personal and professional goals. Adams is a proud alumnus of American University, with a degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems.
Adams was previously a Partner/Principal at Grant Thornton,LLC where he served as the service line leader for Financial Management across public and non-for-profit sectors, as well as across higher education industries within the commercial practice.
He went on to assume the role of Partner/Principal at Ernst & Young. There he served as the Government and Public Sector Finance Practice Leader of more than $100m+ defining its go-to-market strategy for Federal, state and local governments, as well as higher education and large not-for-profit entities.
Today, he proudly drives the mission of Eskaton Consulting, LLC as a minority-owned and led consulting firm supporting clients and employees in achieving their desired outcomes and professional purpose. With Adams’ years of experience, Eskaton carries a big firm pedigree, while maintaining coveted cultural values of a small firm.
